The Role

Reporting to the CFO and to the People & Talent Director, this influential position will be responsible for providing support to the entire Ascention team by assisting with the tactical human resource administration and management.  We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate and energetic candidate to join our collaborative and experienced team. The successful candidate will be capable of managing multiple tasks and conflicting priorities whilst delivering quality work with a high level of attention to detail. High productivity and a can-do attitude will be key to success within the role.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide advice on policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Develop training and development programs
  • Assist in performance management processes

Knowledge/Skills/Characteristics required:

  • Proven experience as HR officer / advisor
  • Degree in HR/psychology/business
  • Knowledge of HR functions (recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability and interest in influencing and negotiating effective outcomes
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities

We are looking for an experienced HR advisor to join our fun and friendly team of technology professionals.

  • Flexible working arrangements – work from home or from our office in Crows Nest

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead MDM requirement analysis sessions with business users
  • Define measurable metrics per subject area to support a robust and successful deployment of an MDM platform
  • Define requirements for data matching and merging rules, survivorship criteria and data stewardship workflows
  • Thorough understanding of master data hierarchy management
  • Provide subject matter expertise on data architecture and data integration implementations
  • Responsible for generating data management
  • Understands and leverages enterprise architecture principles for cross-functional purposes
  • Participates in products roadmap planning, recommending technologies and solutions
  • Identifies and proposes new opportunities for data integration
  • Consults with business representatives and work with the Business Analyst to ensure understanding of the business requirements and future strategic direction of the business/function
  • Drive data quality and governance effort across organization
  • Participate in pre-sales, discovery and proof of concepts as required

Job Skill Set:

  • More than ten (10+) years of direct experience in MDM design, development, support and operations with a leading MDM platform
  • At least five (5+) years direct experience in Data Management, Data Quality, Database and ETL development, support and operations
  • Experience with Orchestra Networks is highly regarded
  • Exposure to and conceptual understanding of data integration tools and technologies
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Be able to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional matrix environment
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees
  • Able to quickly learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented including decision making, time management, and task prioritization

  • General knowledge of common business systems (CRM, SFA, ERP) and processes (lead to cash, requisitions, order management, etc.)
  • General knowledge of key application infrastructure components such as VMware, storage (NAS, SAN, SMB), Java JVM, networking (firewall, load balancing, proxies)
